Abstract Phosphorus (Pi) starvation prevents a good match between light energy absorption and photosynthetic carbon metabolism, generating photo-reactive oxygen species (photo-ROS) in chloroplasts. Plants have evolved to withstand photo-oxidative stress, but the key regulatory mechanism underlying it remains unclear. In rice (Oryza sativa), DEEP GREEN PANICLE1 (DGP1) is robustly up-regulated in response to Pi deficiency. DGP1 decreases the DNA-binding capacities of the transcriptional activators GLK1/2 on the photosynthetic genes involved in chlorophyll biosynthesis, light harvesting, and electron transport. This Pi-starvation-induced mechanism dampens both electron transport rates through photosystem I and II (ETRI and ETRII) and thus mitigates the electron-excessive stress in mesophyll cells. Meanwhile, DGP1 hijacks glycolytic enzymes GAPC1/2/3, redirecting glucose metabolism toward the pentose phosphate pathway with superfluous NADPH production. Phenotypically, light irradiation induces O

Abstract Objective: Just-in-time adaptive interventions (JITAIs), which allow individuals to receive the right amount of tailored support at the right time and place, hold enormous potential for promoting behavior change. However, research on JITAIs' implementation and evaluation is still in its early stages, and more empirical evidence is needed. This meta-analysis took a complexity science approach to evaluate the effectiveness of JITAIs that promote healthy behaviors and assess whether key design principles can increase JITAIs' impacts.
Methods: We searched five databases for English-language papers. Study eligibility required that interventions objectively measured health outcomes, had a control condition or pre-post-test design, and were conducted in the real-world setting. We included randomized and non-randomized trials. Data extraction encompassed interventions' features, methodologies, theoretical foundations, and delivery modes. RoB 2 and ROBINS-I were used to assess risk of bias.
Results: The final analysis included 21 effect sizes with 592 participants. All included studies used pre- and post-test design. A three-level random meta-analytic model revealed a medium effect of JITAIs on objective behavior change (
Conclusions: This review demonstrated some evidence for the efficacy of JITAIs. However, high-quality randomized trials and data on non-adherence are needed.

Abstract To realize the resourceful use of soilbags filled with graphite tailings, their load-bearing and deformation characteristics must be fully understood. In this study, the following results were obtained by performing geometric testing of water-filled sealing bags and uniaxial compression tests of soilbags filled with graphite tailings. The volume of the soilbag expressed in rectangular form was approximately 0.773 times the actual volume. The types of compression damage to soilbags can be defined as surface damage and overall damage. The surface damage load increases with decreasing filling density and decreases with decreasing soilbag size. Moreover, the higher the tensile capacity of the soilbag material and the lower the friction between the soilbags, the greater the surface damage load. The overall damage load increased with an increase in the tensile strength of the soilbag material and decreased with an increase in the degree of filling; the overall damage load was greater for large-sized soilbags at high degrees of filling. Thus, the existing theoretical calculation method cannot accurately calculate the damage load of soilbags filled with graphite tailings, and the test results deviate from the theoretical calculation results, with the latter showing an increasing damage load with a decreasing filling degree.
