Abstract Abstract This paper proposes a fluid classifier for a tight reservoir using a quantum neural network (QNN). It is difficult to identify the fluid in tight reservoirs, and the manual interpretation of logging data, which is an important means to identify the fluid properties, has the disadvantages of a low recognition rate and non-intelligence, and an intelligent algorithm can better identify the fluid. For tight reservoirs, the logging response characteristics of different fluid properties and the sensitivity and relevance of well log parameter and rock physics parameters to fluid identification are analyzed, and different sets of input parameters for fluid identification are constructed. On the basis of quantum neural networks, a new method for combining sample quantum state descriptions, sensitivity analysis of input parameters, and wavelet activation functions for optimization is proposed. The results of identifying the dry layer, gas layer, and gas–water co-layer in the tight reservoir in the Sichuan Basin of China show that different input parameters and activation functions affect recognition performance. The proposed quantum neural network based on hybrid parameters and a wavelet activation function has higher fluid identification accuracy than the original quantum neural network model, indicating that this method is effective and warrants promotion and application.

Abstract Background: In recent years, single-incision thoracoscopic surgery (SITS) has been increasingly applied as an optimal treatment option for primary spontaneous pneumothorax (PSP). However, most SITS techniques are used in the fourth to sixth intercostal space between the anterior axillary and mid axillary lines. To find out more concealed incisions, this study performed PSP surgery via the sub-axillary cosmetic incision (SACI) technique.
Methods: A total of 128 PSP patients were subjected to video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) between January 2017 and January 2019 at our institution. These patients were evaluated and assigned into SACI (n = 21) and SITS (n = 57) groups. Propensity score matching (PSM) was performed based on patients' backgrounds, and the enrolled cohort was divided into 21 pairs. The incision satisfaction was assessed at 2 weeks and 6 months post-surgery.
Results: The 21 pairs with matching baseline characteristics in the two groups did not exhibit significant differences in their backgrounds and surgical results. However, compared with the SITS group, the operation time was longer in the SACI group (p = 0.013). There were no post-operative complications in both groups. At 2 weeks and 6 months, incision satisfaction scores in the SACI group were significantly lower than those in the SITS group (p = 0.022 and p = 0.039, respectively). There were no recurrences of ipsilateral pneumothorax in both groups.
Conclusions: SACI is a safe and feasible surgical method for PSP treatment. In addition, incision concealment can be used for patients with incision needs.

Abstract Horizontal ecological compensation mechanism provides solutions for cross-domain protection of ecological environment, and the key to its implementation depends on the establishment of a suitable incentive mechanism of economic benefits to influence the conservation behavior of each interest body. This article constructs a horizontal ecological compensation mechanism for the Yellow River Basin through indicator variables to analyze the profitability of the participating subjects. Based on data from 83 cities in the Yellow River Basin in 2019, an empirical study was conducted using a binary unordered logit regression model to examine the regional benefits generated by the horizontal ecological compensation mechanism in the Yellow River Basin. The level of urban economic development and ecological environment management significantly affects the profitability of horizontal ecological compensation mechanisms in the Yellow River basin. The heterogeneity analysis finds that the profitability of the horizontal ecological compensation mechanism in the Yellow River basin is stronger in the upstream central and western regions, which are more likely to produce better ecological compensation benefits as recipients of compensation funds. Governments in the Yellow River Basin should strengthen cross-regional cooperation, continuously improve the capacity building and modernization of ecological and environmental governance in the basin, and provide solid institutional guarantees for environmental pollution management in China.

Abstract In this review, motivated by the recent interest in high-temperature materials, we review our recent progress in theories of lattice dynamics in and out of equilibrium. To investigate thermodynamic properties of anharmonic crystals, the self-consistent phonon theory was developed, mainly in the 1960s, for rare gas atoms and quantum crystals. We have extended this theory to investigate the properties of the equilibrium state of a crystal, including its unit cell shape and size, atomic positions and lattice dynamical properties. Using the equation-of-motion method combined with the fluctuation–dissipation theorem and the Donsker–Furutsu–Novikov (DFN) theorem, this approach was also extended to investigate the non-equilibrium case where there is heat flow across a junction or an interface. The formalism is a classical one and therefore valid at high temperatures.

Abstract Gear mechanism transmits the motion and power of parallel axes, intersecting axes and staggered axes, which has been widely employed in production and life. Gear-type mobile mechanism is a type of robot that can achieve motion through gear transmission. Due to its unique motion mode, it can handle various tasks in certain unconventional environments, such as particularly steep surfaces. Cylindrical gear, bevel gear and non-cylindrical gear are taken as the main parts of the mechanism to form a novel research series, respectively. The models of gear-type mobile mechanism are established in this paper, and the degrees of freedom of the mechanism are briefly calculated based on the screw theory. Simultaneously, the influence of centroid trajectory on motion stability is discussed to solve the possible problem that opposite rotation occur during the movement. Furthermore, the trajectory model of zero moment point is calculated considering the motion of the gear-type mobile mechanism. After that, the simulation and experimental analysis of its motion capability show that the gear-type mobile mechanism has excellent characteristics in stability, flexibility and continuity.

Abstract Objective: The increasing identification of pulmonary nodules has led to a growing emphasis on segmentectomy. Nevertheless, the surgical process for segmentectomy is complex and optimizing segmentectomy is a critical clinical concern. This study aimed to evaluate the safety and short- and long-term efficacy of V6-preserving superior segmentectomy.
Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of patients who underwent thoracoscopic superior segmentectomy at our hospital between January 2019 and June 2020. Eligible patients were categorized into an V6 vein-preserving segmentectomy (VVPS) group and a Non V6 vein-preserving segmentectomy (NVVPS) group depending on the preservation of V6. Primary outcome measures encompassed the evaluation of surgical safety (surgical margins, 3-year overall survival, and disease-free survival), whereas secondary measures included postoperative complication rates, operative time, estimated intraoperative blood loss, length of hospital stay, and associated costs.
Results: The analysis included a final cohort of 78 patients. In the NVVPS group (n = 43), 95.3 % of patients exceeded the tumor diameter, and no positive surgical margins were observed. The 3-year overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) rates for the NVVPS group were 95.3 %, with no significant differences in OS (p = 0.572) and DFS (P = 0.800) compared with the VVPS group. Additionally, the median total hospitalization cost for the NVVPS group was 41,400 RMB (IQR, 38,800-43,400), which was significantly lower than that of the VVPS group, showing statistical significance (P < 0.05). No statistically significant differences were observed in the incidence of postoperative complications and length of stay between the two groups (P > 0.05).
Conclusion: V6-preserving superior segmentectomy is a secure and optimized surgical alternative. Its streamlined procedure facilitates easier adoption in primary healthcare facilities, rendering it a superior choice for superior segmentectomy.

Abstract Over the past two decades, strategies for sustainable development and water environment governance have become the main ways to improve regional water-use efficiency. However, the evolutionary characteristics and drivers of the regional water-use efficiency remain unclear, and the effectiveness of national strategic instruments must still be evaluated. The study uses the minimum distance to the strong efficient frontier model (MinDS) to measure water-use efficiency in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, examines the evolutionary characteristics of water-use efficiency from spatial and temporal perspectives, and further investigates drivers of the evolution of the water-use efficiency. The results indicate that the water-use efficiency in the Yangtze River Economic Belt has greatly improved and been maintained at a high level, especially after the national strategy for this economic belt was established. Water-use efficiency improvement is closely related to water environment treatment. There exists a significant spillover effect on the water-use efficiency in the provinces of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. High-level provinces are helpful in driving neighboring provinces to improve their water-use efficiency, while low-level provinces play a negative role. This study confirms the effectiveness of the national strategy and provides a useful perspective for interprovincial water-use efficiency improvement.

Abstract The clearance of overloaded amyloid β (Aβ) oligomers is thought to be an attractive and potential strategy for the therapy of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). A variety of strategies have already been utilized to study Aβ degradation in vitro. Here, the electrochemical detection based on direct electrooxidation of specific Tyr residues within Aβ peptide has been developed as a simple and robust approach for monitoring the oligomers’ degradation. C₆₀ was employed for photodegrading Aβ oligomers due to the generated ROS under light irradiation. The oxidation current of Tyr residues by square wave voltammetry (SWV) increased upon the Aβ degradation, confirming that the structure variation of Aβ peptide indeed influenced the exposure of those redox species to the electrode surface and final signal output. Chronoamperometric assay also found the electrooxidation of Tyr undergone an irreversible process. Additionally, the direct electrochemistry was capable of detecting the aggregation with rapid test and better sensitivity in compared with dynamic light scattering (DLS), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and thioflavin T (ThT) based fluorescence assay. Thus, this work indicated the potential application of direct electrochemistry in the in vitro measurement of Aβ degradation and clearance, providing new insights and a complementary means into the AD theranostics.

Abstract Medical workers often face serious family-work conflicts and are prone to depressive symptoms. The present study aimed at investigating associations between family-work conflict and depression in emergencies, and at exploring psychological processes involved in this association. A total of 1347 participants were recruited to complete questionnaires. Results showed that the positive effect of family-work conflict on depression was mediated by the basic psychological needs satisfaction, and subjective social status moderated this relationship as a buffer. For individuals with high levels of subjective social status, the direct and indirect effects of family-work conflict on depression were weaker. This study identified the mediating and moderating mechanisms of family-work conflict and depression. The implications of these findings in both theoretical and practical terms will be discussed.
