Abstract With the development of science and technology, the function of waterborne coatings has been advanced to a higher standard, which requires researchers to innovate and expand the research on them. Aloe-emodin is a natural material with antibacterial properties. Applying its antibacterial effect to the coating can enrich its function and meet the diversified needs of consumers. In this study, the urea-formaldehyde resin was used as the wall material and the aloe-emodin as the core material to prepare the microcapsules. The coating rate, yield, and morphology of the microcapsules were characterized. Through an orthogonal experiment and a single factor experiment, the optimization scheme of microcapsule preparation was explored. The results indicated that the optimum preparation process of aloe-emodin microcapsules was as follows: the mass ratio of core material to wall material was 1:15, the molar ratio of urea to formaldehyde was 1:1.2, the temperature of microencapsulation was 50 °C, and the stirring speed of microencapsulation was 600 rpm. On this basis, the aloe-emodin microcapsules with 0%, 1.0%, 3.0%, 6.0%, 9.0%, and 12.0% contents were added to the waterborne coating to prepare the paint films, and their influence on the antibacterial and optical properties of the waterborne paint films was explored. The results demonstrated that the aloe-emodin microcapsules had antibacterial activity. When the content was 6.0%, the comprehensive performance of the film was better. The antibacterial rate of the film against Escherichia coli was 68.1%, and against Staphylococcus aureus it was 60.7%. The color difference of the film was 59.93, and the glossiness at 60° was 7.8%. In this study, the microcapsules that can improve the antibacterial performance of water-based coatings were prepared, which can expand the application of water-based coatings and provide a reference for the study of the functionalization of water-based coatings.

Abstract The past several decades have seen China undergo a rapid urbanization process. During periods of economic prosperity, cities expropriate outlying lands, often villages, for economic development with the support of various local and national government programs designed to encourage urban expansion. However, the autonomy of the villages has not been paid enough attention. How does incorporation into an urban development zone affect the community identity and autonomy of a village? How does the village bargain with external urban institutions? This research is based on ethnographic research and interviews conducted in 2013, 2014, 2017, and 2021. The results reveal that villagers are generally willing to accept the loss of their collective land in exchange for a larger share of the promised prosperity of industrialization, but over time they tend to find that the immediate benefits of expropriation are outweighed by long-term costs. They lose the support of the state and are exposed to new vulnerabilities, such as pollution and economic instability. Indeed, they agree to undertake unknown future risks in exchange for short-term gains. They cannot gain the right to the city, but gradually lose control of the village.

Abstract Background: Pulmonary sclerosing pneumocytoma (PSP) is an uncommon benign neoplasm originated from pneumocyte and PSP with malignant transformation is extremely rare.
Case presentation: We report a case of PSP of a 65-year-old male patient presented as a lobulated mass in the upper lobe of the left lung, in which part of the stromal round cells transformed to spindle cells with sarcomatoid features and showed no specific differentiation. The patient underwent partial lobectomy without further treatment. No recurrence and metastasis was found after eight month's follow up.
Conclusions: To our knowledge, this is the first case of PSP with sarcomatoid malignant transformation devoid of differentiation. Our case adds the evidence in that a subset of PSP bear malignant potential and more studies are needed in order to determine the treatment and prognosis to such patients.

Abstract Zirconia ceramics are prominent engineering materials and are widely used in computers, consumer electronics, and the fifth-generation communication industry. However, zirconia ceramics are a typical hard-to-cut material, and the product structures are more complex as the demanding on the industry increases. In this case, the polishing efficiency should be improved for meeting these requirements. To overcome the problem of polishing concave surfaces of zirconia ceramics, a small polishing tool with a magnetic compound fluid (MCF) was invented. The effect of the polishing parameters on the surface roughness and material removal rate was analyzed by an L9(3 3 ) orthogonal experiment. The weight ratio of the parameters was also studied based on the experimental results. With the combination of chemical and mechanical functions, the polishing characteristics were further examined. Based on the soaking experiments, the material removal mechanism is discussed. The results are as follows: (1) the optimal polishing parameters were the revolution speed of the MCF carrier n c of 400 rpm, the working gap h of 0.1 mm, the CIP size D of 5 μm for better surface roughness, the revolution speed of the MCF carrier n c of 400 rpm, the working gap h of 0.1 mm, and the CIP size D of 7 μm for a higher material removal rate. The impact degrees on surface roughness and material removal rate were a revolution speed of the MCF carrier of 54% > working gap of 31%> CIP size of 15% and working gap of 40% > revolution speed of the MCF carrier of 32% > and CIP size of 18%, respectively. (2) Surface roughness was rapidly reduced in the first 20 min and tended to be stable in the last 10 min of polishing. A circular polished area was observed on the flat workpiece for studying the typical material removal curve, and the deepest point was found at the fringe of the material removal curve. The concave workpiece was polished successfully, and the best surface roughness R a reached 1 nm and 1.2 nm. (3) A pH = 10 with a sodium hydroxide ...

Abstract Academic resilience refers to the ability to recover and achieve high academic outcomes despite environmental adversity in the academic setting. At the same time, self-determination theory (SDT) offers a human agency model to understand individuals' autonomy to achieve in various fields. The present longitudinal study explored the factors influencing resilience from the analytical framework of SDT to investigate how basic psychological needs strengthen students' resilience. A mediation model was proposed that resilience may mediate the relationship between basic psychological needs and academic performance. The results from 450 10th grade Chinese students showed that three basic psychological needs (i.e., autonomy, competence, and relatedness) facilitate academic resilience; academic resilience thus increases subsequent academic performance after controlling for previous test scores.

Abstract The aim of this study is threefold: (1) investigate the impact of subjective socioeconomic status on the health of older people with a further exploration of its extent, (2) explore the relationship between diverse class mobility trajectories and health disparities among older people, and (3) examine the health disparities among older people with different subjective socioeconomic statuses in groups of various class mobility. The data for this study came from the Chinese General Social Survey (CGSS) of 2017, and regression and moderation models are used. The results indicate that for each level of increase in the subjective socioeconomic status of older people, the health score significantly increased by 0.159. The health status of older people who experienced upward class mobility is significantly better than those who did not; therefore, different class mobility trajectories also shape health disparities. The moderation role of class mobility on the impact of subjective socioeconomic status on the health of older people is also confirmed. The results provide further support for the subjective socioeconomic status having a significant impact on the health of older people with different class mobility trajectories. An upward class mobility trajectory somewhat diminishes this influence. Therefore, policy interventions should be provided to enhance the subjective socioeconomic status of older people and increase their opportunities for upward class mobility.

Abstract ZooKeeper is a coordination service, widely used as a backbone of various distributed systems. Though its reliability is of critical importance, testing is insufficient for an industrial-strength system of the size and complexity of ZooKeeper, and deep bugs can still be found. To this end, we resort to formal TLA+ specifications to further improve the reliability of ZooKeeper. Our primary objective is usability and automation, rather than full verification. We incrementally develop three levels of specifications for ZooKeeper. We first obtain the protocol specification, which unambiguously specifies the Zab protocol behind ZooKeeper. We then proceed to a finer grain and obtain the system specification, which serves as the super-doc for system development. In order to further leverage the model-level specification to improve the reliability of the code-level implementation, we develop the test specification, which guides the explorative testing of the ZooKeeper implementation. The formal specifications help eliminate the ambiguities in the protocol design and provide comprehensive system documentation. They also help find critical deep bugs in system implementation, which are beyond the reach of state-of-the-art testing techniques. Our specifications have been merged into the official Apache ZooKeeper project.
